The stationary device is ideal for long term projects. But this setup requires a LAN network setup. Alternatively, users are advised to use the wireless router and the 3G/4G USB modem to simulate the LAN network environment. The wireless router can be bought from all major IT retail outlets and the different telcos for the 3G/4G USB modem.
The FS 21 in the stationary variant is mounted onto an acrylic base and requires power to function at all times.
The remote variant is ideal for short term projects. This setup is also able to be used on vehicles by using the converter. This device solely runs on the 3G/4G USB Modem and has the wireless router already attached. This variant is also heavier than the stationary because it has a built-in battery which approximately last for 8 hours after fully charge.
It also has a toggle button to turn on and off unlike the stationary device. Thus, it does not need to be docked to a power supply at all times.
